Meet Bree
From an early age Bree became familiar with assisted living environments and skilled nursing and some of what went into caring for those who relied on those types of facilities.
Both of her great grandmother's, and her grandfather resided in these types of facilities and she recalls spending most weekends and holidays there from the age of 3 to about the age of 10.
These memories became a leading factor in Bree's approach towards companionship and care.
"I remember being about 3 years old visiting my grandpa at the facility
he was at, and he had a roommate who was bedridden and didn't really
speak that I remember, and staff seemed to neglect him, but my
grandpa would always check on him and go get staff to come and
change him and make sure he was ok. Throughout the years and all the
various facilities he moved to, he always checked on others who lived
there too. This is something that has always stuck with me, and I try to
continue doing as he did as often as possible."
Education wise, Bree completed her general education studies at Troy University while still in high school.—There she had top scores in Theatre and was commended in Psychology freshman year. Bree went on to obtain an Executive Certificate in "Integrated Marketing 360" (marketing strategy, data-driven marketing, and digital marketing) as well as a Certificate in Business Law from Cornell University a few years later.
Despite all of that, Bree officially stepped into full-time caregiving 4 years ago when her mother was diagnosed with early onset dementia.
When she's not busy providing care to her mother or our
clients, she is busy running her clothing company that she
founded almost 9 years ago, caring for her 2 dogs and
3 cats, starting up websites, doing DIY home projects,
doing 5Ks, and volunteering at her local no-kill animal
shelter.
This diverse background and skill set has made Bree a great
asset to our team, to step in and carry out a variety of tasks
while also being knowledgeable on so many different things
allowing her to be able to bond with our clients over
different interests while providing them with companionship.
